Town Planner - Swansboro, NC

The primary mission of the Town Planner is to protect and promote Swansboro's beauty by managing safe development and orderly growth throughout the Town. This is done by interpreting and enforcing the Unified Development Ordinance, Zoning maps, and other Town Codes.

The position as Town Planner involves a wide variety of roles in order to achieve this goal.

Some of the duties include:

Site Plan review
Rezoning requests
Land Use Planning
Permitting
Text Amendments to the UDO/Town Code
Economic Development
Historic Preservation
Floodplain Management
Provide staff support to the Board of Commissioners and all Advisory Boards
Mapping
Code Enforcement
