The mission of the Public Works Department is to improve the quality of life for Swansboro residents through a responsive, efficient, and effective delivery of services and by reflecting a can-do attitude with our citizens.

Public Buildings

The Public Works Department has responsibility for maintaining the municipal buildings and grounds throughout Swansboro. This includes the Town Hall, Police Department, Public Works complex, and Visitor Center.

Parks Maintenance

The Public Works team also maintains the extensive grounds, buildings, and equipment in the Town's parks and in its waterfront access facilities, ranging from athletic fields, sports courts, and picnic areas, to restrooms, piers, docks, and boardwalks.
