TOWN OF SWANSBORO
AMEMDMENTS TO THE UNIFIED DEVELOPMENT ORDINANCE

The public shall take notice that the Swansboro Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at 6:00 pm in the Community Room of Town Hall located at 601 W. Corbett Avenue on Proposed text amendments to the Unified Development Ordinance related to conditions in the B-3 zoning district in the following sections:
• Section §152.180 Notes to the Table of Permitted/Special Uses, Note 37
• Section §152.195 Table of Area, Yard, Square Footage and Height Requirements, Maximum Building Height

AMENDMENT TO THE TOWN OF SWANSBORO CAMA LAND USE PLAN

Notice is hereby given that the Town of Swansboro will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at 6:00 pm to review an amendment to the Town of Swansboro Coastal Area Management Act (CAMA) Land Use Plan. The meeting will be held in the Community Room located in the Town Hall at 601 W. Corbett Avenue, Swansboro NC. All interested citizens are encouraged to attend.

Following the public hearing, the Town Board of Commissioners will consider adoption of the Land Use Plan amendment, amending Chapter 5, Traditional Town Center (TTC) page 41 with an exception to density in the B-3 zoning district for multifamily dwellings. Once adopted, the amended plan will be submitted to the Coastal Resources Commission for certification.

Written objections, comments, or statements of support shall be submitted to the Division of Coastal Management District Planner, Michael Christenbury, Wilmington District Planner, North Carolina Division of Coastal Management, 127 Cardinal Drive Extension, Wilmington NC 28405 no more than 30 calendar days after local adoption of the plan amendment. Copies of the Land Use Plan amendment is available for review by the public at Swansboro Town Hall during normal business hours.
