PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that the Town of Swansboro will conduct a public hearing on May 27, 2025, at 6 PM at Town Hall located at 601 W. Corbett Avenue in Swansboro on a proposal to extend an economic development incentive grant, from the Town of Swansboro and Onslow County to Jacksonville Onslow Economic Development Partnership, Inc. (JOED). The Town of Swansboro and Onslow County propose to appropriate $250,000 each as the required local match for receipt of an N.C. Industrial Development Grant in the amount of $1,813,500, which is the estimated cost of public street and utility improvements. This is in connection with an economic development project having anticipated employment and economic benefits to the Town. The Town’s appropriation would partially defray the above-estimated cost of such improvements. This notice is published pursuant to N.C.G.S. 158-7.1.
