PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
AMENDMENT TO THE TOWN OF SWANSBORO CAMA LAND USE PLAN
Notice is hereby given that the Town of Swansboro will conduct a public hearing on September 23, 2025, at 6PM to review an amendment to the Town of Swansboro Coastal Area Management Act (CAMA) Land Use Plan. The meeting will be held in the Community Room located in the Town Hall at 601 W. Corbett Avenue, Swansboro NC. All interested citizens are encouraged to attend.
Following the public hearing, the Town Board of Commissioners will consider adoption of the Land Use Plan amendment, amending the Future Land Use Map from a Rural/Agricultural designation to a Suburban Town Center designation at two sites located along W. Corbett Avenue and identified as parcel #s 019494 and 027733. If adopted, the amended plan will be submitted to the Coastal Resources Commission for certification.
Written objections, comments, or statements of support shall be submitted to the Division of Coastal Management District Planner, Michael Christenbury, Wilmington District Planner, North Carolina Division of Coastal Management, 127 Cardinal Drive Extension, Wilmington NC 28405 no more than 30 calendar days after local adoption of the plan amendment. Copies of the Land Use Plan amendment are available for review by the public at Swansboro Town Hall during normal business hours. REZONING REQUEST
The public shall take notice that the Swansboro Board of Commissioners will conduct a public hearing on September 23, 2025 at 6PM in the Community Room located at 601 W. Corbett Avenue regarding a rezoning application for a conditional zoning for +/- 38.92 acres on parcels of land along W. Corbett Avenue and identified as parcel #s 019494 and 027733, from RA to B1(CZ).
