Mayor John Davis has issued a Proclamation Declaring a State of Emergency for the Town of Swansboro which may be affected by Tropical Storm Ophelia. On Saturday, September 23, 2023, the Swansboro Recreation Center and Visitor’s Center will be closed.
Our entire area is under a Tropical Storm WARNING/Hurricane WATCH. In addition, Storm Surge Warnings have been issued.
At this time Onslow County has indicated they will not be opening shelters.
Activation of the Swansboro Emergency Operations Center is to be determined and information shared at a later time.
