Town Commissioners

About

The Town of Swansboro is comprised of five Board of Commissioners and the Mayor. Elected as Town-wide representatives, the Mayor and Board of Commissioners serve four-year staggered terms with the lowest vote recipient serving a two-year term.

The Mayor conducts meetings of the Board of Commissioners but only votes to break a tie.

The Mayor Pro Tem is selected by the Commissioners and conducts the meetings in absence of the Mayor.

The Board of Commissioners meetings are held in the Town Hall Community Room on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month at 6:00 pm.

All Town meetings are open to the public and residents are encouraged to attend.
